Hosanna supports WCFS (Watonwan County Food Shelf) with donations (both with products and church member financial contributions) throughout the year. The food shelf provides food for those in our community that need assistance. The food shelf is open on Wednesday mornings – from 10:00 to 12:00; and Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00PM. They are now open the second Saturday per month, from 10:00 – 12:00. The second Thursday of each month – June through October – is the ‘fresh produce’ day. On this day, only fresh produce is given out, no shopping is allowed. This is opened to anyone.
Hosanna has volunteers that help with stocking shelves and refrigerators/freezers, do check in for participants, and help with checkouts the first Thursday of each month. The volunteers also assist on the fresh produce day by helping with bagging the produce for easier distribution, and with distribution. There are also volunteers that help unload the food trucks that come twice a month.
